Advancing Consent Management in California: Technology and Data Standards that Enable Consent Webinar Series

Consent-to-share can provide the necessary data exchange permissions for health and social service organizations to improve care coordination. Panelists will explore a variety of technical components to enable this exchange under the Data Exchange Framework, including the LEAP Consent Decision Service and how we utilize HL7 and FHIR data standards to achieve granular consent. 


1. Explore the latest updates to HL7, FHIR, and LEAP Consent Decision Service.

2. Discuss strategies to ensure that the California Data Exchange Framework remains aligned with HL7 and FHIR standards, as well as other relevant data standards.

3. Discuss the approaches and barriers to using these data standards from the perspective of Electronic Health Records, Behavioral Health Records and other protected information.
